Known for beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets, the Sunset Beach Bonfire Series is a way to celebrate it all. On the last Thursday of June, July and August, you are invited to bring your beach chairs and blankets to Stearns Park Beach to enjoy a true Up North evening that includes a bonfire, music and, of course, a beautiful sunset.

The Eminem-spiked "8 Mile" soundtrack returns to #1 after selling more than 312,000 copies last week, ousting Shania Twain's Up! from the slot it held since its November 19 release. Twain's five-week run tied Eminem's The Eminem Show for longest streak at #1 this year. The country-pop star's follow up to 1997's Come on Over drops to #2, having sold more than 263,000 copies last week, according to SoundScan figures released Thursday (December 2).

Sixteen albums made a return to the top 200 thanks to increased holiday spending. Albums that were either bought as gifts or as a result of spending checks and gift certificates include Seether's Disclaimer (#147), the Vines' Highly Evolved (#151), Trick Daddy's Thug Holiday (#157), Trina's Diamond Princess (#158), Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Thug World Order (#160), the Donnas' Spend the Night (#162), the "Drumline" soundtrack (#164) and 50 Cent's Guess Who's Back? (#165).

Sunset Beach is an unlockable court in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. It is classified as part of the Mushroom Tourney and is essentially Koopa Beach during a sunset, the only differences being that a red shell replaces the green shell design and the pirate ships do not appear. To unlock Sunset Beach, an exhibition match must be played on Koopa Beach between the hours of four and six PM (according to the player's DS's internal clock).

If you are planning a relaxing getaway, I have listed the best beach songs below that are perfect for any vacation playlist. These songs, ranging from upbeat to chill, deliver the ultimate beach vibes. This music is just what you need to relax and unwind, whether you are on an island or by the pool.

Below, I have compiled the top 135 songs that I always include on my beach music playlist. They are organized by category, and there is something for everyone. You can also listen to this full playlist in Spotify here. Enjoy!

I have a special place in my heart for music from decades past. There are some songs that, no matter how old they are, continue to sound so good on the beach. Here are my favorite old school picks that never cease to take me to my happy place.

Many pop songs bring reggae and Latin vibes, which make them perfect for a fun beach day. They also tend to come and go like fads, so I update this section often. That said, I do have a few favorite beach songs that have been making my list for years.

There is a place for rock on every beach playlist. First of all, there are many bands that have a reggae sound, such as Sublime and No Doubt. Then you have bands with a more mellow style, which is just as perfect for laying out near the water.

These songs are not always the most mellow, and probably not the greatest for relaxation. However, they are very fun poolside, or while tossing a football in the sand. These can also serve as fun beach songs for Instagram stories while sharing your trip with friends at home.

Chicago maverick Green Velvet brings his infectious sound (and trademark moves) to a Mexican beach party, during last summer's Groove Cruise. DJ Mag's cameras were on hand to capture the whole set. Turn it up!

At the hotel's oceanfront eatery, it's toes-in-the sand casual, with a Côte d'Azur kick, from its striped awnings and bentwood bistro chairs to an eclectic soundtrack. Order the moules frites and a bottle of local Wölffer Estate rosé ($17), and you might catch Mr. Balazs himself arriving by seaplane.

Do not be surprised to see big bustling crowds during summer - everyone just seems to want to jump into the unique atmosphere. People flock here for the glorious incandescent sunset, the island's magic energy that seems to concentrate here, and of course for the music. It all started back in 1980, when Café del Mar, with the help from DJ José Padilla, added a soundtrack to the sunset and changed this once sleepy promenade forever. It was this venue that really created the chill-out genre and many compilation albums, for which it has gained worldwide fame.

Café Mambo and Savannah, now also well known over a number of years for their popular music compilations, came next and after that more and more sunset venues lined the promenade. When space on the original Sunset Strip ran out, new sunset bars started to open, expanding the original promenade all the way to the small bay of Caló des Moro.

A combination of the big sky, beautiful bay, dramatic sunset and world-class music makes the perfect setting for the bars along the Strip. If you go, get there in enough time before sunset to ensure a seat on the open terraces to enjoy their uninterrupted views. Try one of the many excellent cocktails, such as amazing Mojitos, Gin and Tonic selections and Daiquiris.

Fancy relaxing to an eclectic mix of golden hour sounds? We've compiled a playlist of the top 100 Ibiza sunset songs, including Café del Mar classics and modern chill-out cuts. Stream below and head here to subscribe.

North of the large wooden terraces of the sunset cafés, the promenade snakes around the rugged coastline rocks, arriving at the newer part of the Strip, where venues like SunSeaBar and Golden Buddha line Caló des Moro bay. Further along the coastal path there are some beautifully renovated hotels, whose sunset restaurants and terraces are open to the public too.

Carson wrote multiple original songs for the Purple Hearts soundtrack, but "Come Back Home" stood out among the bunch. "'Come Back Home' was particularly a challenge for us and particularly emotional because it's set at a moment in the film that is so pivotal to our story and to our characters," Carson says. "In those three words, Cassie says everything that she's been too afraid to say to him."

"We wanted to make it that much more special by, instead of it being a classic music video, it's a performance video," Carson explains. "So, it's me performing 'Come Back Home' on the piano and it's actually set at the same beach that Luke and I end the movie on, which makes it that much more beautiful and true to our story. It's a really intimate, vulnerable, and emotional moment that I think is true to our film."

The prelude performance will begin at 7pm with performances by faculty and students from the VSO School of Music and a variety of soloists. True to its name, the concert will finish with a sunset performance by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra starting with an orchestra arrangement of the Coast Salish Anthem, gifted to the VSO by the grandson of the late Chief Dan George.

The second chapter of Days of our Lives' Beyond Salem has created a huge buzz with major moments like a reunion between long-absent supercouple Bo and Hope and the surprise return of classic villain Megan Hathaway, and the excitement just keeps coming. Upbeat, soulful and vibrant, the music produced on the islands of the Caribbean provides the perfect soundtrack to your holiday, whether you're headed to your local beach or an all-inclusive resort. Much like the islands themselves, rich in history and culture, your Caribbean soundtrack should be wonderfully diverse and provide ambiance for your chilled-out vacation.

So kick back and queue up the playlist as the sun sets behind the palm trees, here are our top seven songs that should feature on your Caribbean soundtrack. You can even just use these for a day at the beach.

"Hot Hot Hot" is a party classic, regardless of the genre. This song is a true cult classic and ultimate soundtrack to any beach party. If you want to get down on the dance floor then queue up this one.

Top Gun: Maverick is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Rather than just spending the season curled up on the couch with your favorite Christmas movies, why not also watch the film's football beach scene for three hours? Thankfully, you won't have to keep hitting play and rewind, as the studio has done the hard work for you in their recently released looped video of the scene.

In the newly released video, there's no new content viewers can expect to see. Just like the movie, the three-hour version offers the same joyful reprieve from action as Maverick and Top Gun's best graduates play some football on the beach. Besides the length (and the looping), the main difference between this version and the movie is that this version tosses in some holiday cheer with an instrumental soundtrack. In the movie, the scene was accompanied by "I Ain't Worried" by OneRepublic.

We've said before that walking in to Experimental Beach is like stumbling across paradise. It's where views, drinks, music and food all converge at the perfect point, and time. It's our favourite sunset spot, and where you'll find us laying on a beach chair during an holiday in Ibiza. 041b061a72
