Austin McCormick and his risqué neo-Baroque dance-theater group Company XIV present a lavish erotic reimagining of the classic holiday tale, complete with circus performers, operatic singers and partial nudity. The word nutcracker has customarily conjured innocent wonder; now be ready to add glitter pasties, stripper poles and comically large stuffed penises to the toys in wonderland. Definitely leave the kids at home.

Hello all. I was considering the ballet for a day trip in town. I looked into it on the (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? ta.queueForLoad : function(f, g)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', f);)(function()ta.trackEventOnPage('postLinkInline', 'impression', 'postLinks-5103457', '');, 'log_autolink_impression');NYC Ballet website but was wondering if there were any outlets for cheap tickets like the broadway sites. Or is this the only place to purchase tickets. Thanks!

Hi just a follow up question. In doing some additional reading I have read about the (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? ta.queueForLoad : function(f, g)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', f);)(function()ta.trackEventOnPage('postLinkInline', 'impression', 'postLinks-5103510', '');, 'log_autolink_impression');New York Theater and the Lincoln center when referring to the nutcracker. Are these the same places? If not, which is the best?

I have never seen NYC Ballet tickets on the Broadway sites. If you register on the NYC Ballet website, you will receive email updates of goings on at the ballet and may (or may not) receive special offers. If you were to receive news of a special offer, it would probably be for tickets for a less popular performance. However, most of the Nutcracker performances sell pretty well, so I wouldn't count on it.

The reason that the Nutcracker is so expensive is that it's the biggest moneymaker for the Company, and they always need the revenue. Since it's the most popular production, they know that they 'll sell out, no matter what the ticket price - don't wait too long to get tickets - they usually go like hot-cakes.

First row, first ring at the NYS Theatre is LONG gone - those seats are snapped by the senior patrons and guild members back in the summer when tickets go onsale to priority members. I think first ring is sold out for all performances of the Nutcracker anyway.

And unfortunately, NYCB Nut tickets are MUCHO expensive - for the reasons mentioned above. I wouldn't bother with the AMEX deal because it's probably for the orchestra seats that are at least $110 each or for the sweet seats with the free photo etc., which are really meant for kids.

The Nutcracker is a famous ballet that was first performed in 1892. Set in early 19th century Germany at Christmastime, the ballet tells a whimsical story about a little girl whose nutcracker comes to life and a magical adventure ensues. The music of The Nutcracker, composed by Tchaikovsky, is arguably more famous than the story itself.

After an intense battle with the Mouse King, her nutcracker whisks her away to the Land of Sweets. Led by the Sugar Plum Fairy, residents of the Land of Sweets perform a series of dances to celebrate them and their bravery. Each dance represents a different nationality and treat (e.g. there is Spanish chocolate, Arabian coffee, etc.) She eventually bids adieu and returns back home.

New York City Ballet does not officially partner with any third-party resellers, such as StubHub. However tickets are almost always available on these third-party markets. If you choose to go that route, be sure to exercise general caution and be willing to accept any risk of fraudulent tickets, etc.

The Fine PrintRegardless of registration, eligible buyers are required to present a valid form of ID with photo as proof of age at the Box Office when picking up or purchasing tickets. Third party purchasing is not permitted. $30 for 30 tickets purchased online are not eligible for print at home delivery.

Met Opera Students Program offers full-time undergraduate and graduate students a chance to purchase student tickets to select performances. These tickets are available online, by phone, or at the box office (beginning at 10AM the day of the performance). You must register for Met Opera Students by filling out a form. Then there are Fridays Under 40; every Friday evening a special discounted rate ($80 orchestra, $60 Grand Tier) is available for patrons 40 and under. Select Friday performances also include a pre-performance party with complimentary wine, special guests, and more; tickets for Fridays Under 40 with a pre-performance gathering are $100 in the orchestra and $80 in the Grand Tier. Patrons must register online and can purchase up to two tickets per performance. Finally, there are Orchestra Standing Room tickets ($25-$40) available online, by phone, or at the box office and Family Circle Standing Room tickets ($20-$30) available when Family Circle seating is sold out online, by phone, or at the box office.

Like many organizations at Lincoln Center, CMS has deals for younger audiences. Chamber Music 360 is aimed at music-lovers between the ages of 21 and 39. A membership costs only $60 and entitles you to three CMS concert tickets, however you wish to use them.

What is "Zone Seating?" Can I request a specific row or seat?Sellers are often unable to confirm a section/row until seating has been assigned by the box office. As a result, "Zone Seating" tickets only guarantee attendees will be seated in a specific section of the venue. To ensure all guests are seated together, we recommend purchasing tickets in a single transaction.

How do I get more information about children's tickets, ADA seating, or parking for an event? Please contact the venue directly for more information as it can change depending on the event.

My voucher says it's been redeemed, how do I access my tickets? If an event has been postponed or rescheduled, your original tickets will be valid for the new date, or we will email you instructions on how to access new tickets if they have been reissued by the event organizer. 041b061a72
