Where To Buy Rite In The Rain Notebooks

These books are plenty tough, and they can take tons of abuse and still spring back as notebooks. Rite in the Rain makes tons of different options, and the Rite in the Rain softcover books are my favorite. To this day, I still keep one handy for daily use. They earned an NSN number and are a must-have for every service member. They are an easy addition to our five must-haves for military members.

Rite in the Rain was developed 80 years ago specifically for Pacific Northwest foresters who needed to document data in the field under our famous torrential rain conditions. Today, "Rite in the Rain" paper products are used by outdoor professionals and recreationists worldwide. You can write on "Rite in the Rain" paper with a pencil or pen but not gel pens. If your conditions are really bad, the all weather pen is definitely the way to go.

JL Darling is a Tacoma, Washington business founded 1916. It is known for "Rite in the Rain" waterproof paper pads. The first paper processing formula, using zinc, white varnish and wheat flour, was patented in 1917 or 1920 by Jerry L. Darling who was originally from the Grays Harbor area.[1][2] The pads originally supplied timbermen in the rainy Pacific Northwest but the company branched out and now a third of its sales are to the U.S. military,[3] with products including field notebooks and waterproof pens.[4] Other specialty products include notebooks for news reporters, contractors and firefighters;[5] for ranchers to track calving; OSHA industrial compliance forms, field interview forms for police, field diagrams for soccer coaches, expedition notebooks for mountain climbers, notebooks for underwater use by scuba divers;[6] and waterproof military zeroing and bullseye targets.[7]

Rite in the Rain is a patented, environmentally responsible, all-weather writing paper that sheds water and enables you to write anywhere, in any weather. The hassle of soggy and illegible paperwork has plagued outdoor professionals for decades. Rite in the Rain's founder, Jerry Darling developed the early version of Rite in the Rain paper to address that problem for the Pacific Northwest US logging industry in the 1920's and the product has been evolving ever since. 041b061a72
